[The voice that of the message is probably not the one you expect. And if you're Gilbert, probably causes traumatic flashbacks. It's certainly Break's voice, but a bit high pitched and more comical...]
Hello, this is Emily! You're obviously an idiot who can't even come see someone in person if it's important, but I'll take pity on you anyways. Leave a message and I'll tell the wonderful and charming Mr. Break about it if it's worth it!
[are you sure you even want to leave a message now]

[or he'll troll him out of the apartment]
I'm in the seventh apartment on the first floor. Feel free to drop by whenever it's convenient for you, Miss Ciel!

[Well, Gilbert does. Because it's his default state of being to be doing menial cleaning and cooking...]
no subject
That's good to know, I'll be down shortly. Let's talk face to face then, mister Break?
[kind of has her phone scrunched between her shoulder and cheek while moving around (she feels more ~busy~ that way, don't judge), NOT THAT HE CAN TELL apart from maybe some background noises, BUT YES]
no subject
[And he'll hang up to at least sort of tidy up any of the clutter remaining. Which admittedly isn't much, but Break is secretly rather concerned with the presentation of his living space too. Old habits die hard, etc.]
audio→action; apartment #1.007
let's give it 2 to 3 minutes. like a normal people, yes?
SO AFTER THAT DELAY there will be a faint knock on the door! Carrying a parcel with promised almond sponge cake and some tea leaves, HOPEFULLY HE'S GOT MUGS AND A KETTLE? ...eh, she could always excuse herself and run back up if he doesn't, but until then--!]
Mister Break?
[and hm oh yeah is this the first time he sees her in person? 8|a
...
eh, no biggie!]
no subject
[But he opens the door momentarily after with a flourish, dipping into a slight bow to welcome her in. It's comically exagerrated, which combined with his appearance as a whole, gives him a sort of clownish appearance, but at least it's totally intended.]
Welcome, Miss Ciel! Though I wish there were more to welcome you to...
[he's used to mansions ok
But he motions to the table, which is already set for tea for two. It's nothing extravagant, considering the fact that he and Gilbert aren't snooty vampires, but it's at least functional.]
Please, come in.
no subject
Hehe, please don't worry about that, your presence alone is more than good enough! Thank you very much for the warm welcome.
[i like how you even have to mention snooty vampires....... BUT YES stepping in, and she'll be making her way to the table to set the package down! opening the container to show a round and rather simplistic looking almond sponge cake. She'd do more about presentation, but things are hard in Haven, ok. Plus, simplicity could be a good thing! The taste should at least be considered passable to the pickiest eaters, alright...]
Are you by yourself at the moment? [She will take a quick peek around, though. Hm, that sure would be convenient!]
ugh ciel you're so moe stop it
I am! There would have been another guest, but I thought it best for him to run an errand or two. I would hate for him to invite himself to this, though I imagine with your pleasant personality, it likely wouldn't have been a problem...
[Or more likely, Gilbert would have been like "Break why do you talk to anyone Break stop"]
what didn't you read the icon keywords.......
My, that's thoughtful of you. Were they important errands? Speaking like that though, it sounds like you know the person well, too?
[if Gilbert doesn't double-take first because they already met and are on relatively ok terms... So maybe more along the lines of "Break don't ruin me in front of people who still have a semi-decent opinion of me"??]
i did but she's still cute
[And with Ciel seated, he'll mosey over to his own chair, but he sits in it very casually, tipping it back onto the back legs]
But yes, you could say that! He's a person from my, ah, world, I suppose the right terminology would be. Nothing more than a brat, but still one of the ones I feel obliged to somewhat look after.
those also tend to be the biggest traps ALAS
Sugar? Do you go through that quickly? [oh no mild flashback episodes again... but right MORE IMPORTANTLY-] And did he leave just for sugar? That seems like a rather frivolous thing to make a whole trip to Haven North for, unless he's got more things he needs to get?
[She'll keep her back straight and maintain a good posture, for however little that may mean.]
You make him sound like a child... You did say you could manage over the phone when we first spoke, but they not that troublesome, are they?
no subject
Oh, no, no, he was going to go see if he could find any in the ruins here... We've managed to find useful food sometimes, though it's mostly been preserved... Ah, but I suppose it's just as likely that he simply wanted to go out!
[Again, he laughs, but this is more mischievous than cheerful] But I suppose he's not quite that bad, I'll admit... But it's simply a side effect of knowing him so long! I've known him since he was a boy, but bullying him a little is just as easy now as it was ten years ago. It's a difficult habit to break, you see!
1/2
[ciel pls, DON'T LOOK SO ~ENLIGHTENED~]
2/2
[SHE'S ONTO YOU!!!1]
no subject
Ahh, perhaps so! I may have grown somewhat fond of him, despite all odds... It's something like seeing a stray in the street.
[He leans forward to a more normal angle, then motions to the teapot which is conveniently already full of hot water!! Because I forgot that this was necessary for a tea party for a tag, sssh]
But that aside, why don't we start our tea brewing? ♥
no subject
[said with a
perfectly sweet smile...
Oh yes good, she's taking a small tin can out of her bag too.]
Ah, yes! Thank you again for getting things ready, mister Break. I couldn't find any Darjeeling, unfortunately, but I was able to get some black tea with additional herbs from a friend. Are you okay with a bit of hibiscus, rose hip, and chamomile?
no subject
That will do quite nicely, Miss Ciel. I would have been a bit surprised if you were to find a Darjeeling, honestly! It's difficult enough to obtain at home, so here, it truly would have been a feat... But that blend sounds quite tasty.
no subject
for the best, right.]
Aha, I tried. [gold star... but yes going to drop in the right amount of leaves, then! She also measures by eye and goes off of estimates, despite bringing a spoon of her own apparently to stir the pot a bit before letting it sit. Shh, it'll turn out okay...!] There aren't that many places, but I did get help from friends and acquaintances here, too. [She'll resume her seat after, sitting straight and proper like ~always~] That said, it's been a while. How have you adjusted to Haven since, mister Break?
no subject
[But Break scratches his cheek at the question as he thinks about it. It's not going to be an honest answer, because of course he has no intentions to tell a stranger about timeline and castmate shenanigans, but at least other events would be reason enough for his expression as well.]
Ahh, it's quite the process! I feel as if I've adjusted well, and there is some sense of routine and normalcy... But at the same time, I can't help but feel cautious all the time! It always seems as if something may go wrong at any moment.
[He chuckles, bowing his head lightly] Though that very well may be just too much caution speaking.
no subject
it's just 3:30 am and i'm too lazy to google up proper tea brewing and describe it in a tag, cut me some slack]You can never be too careful in a place like this either, though. Speaking of which, something will probably happen roughly a week from now, I think, so any caution is warranted by that point. [A small nod to herself...] Getting food and water hasn't really been a problem, then?
no subject
Thank you for the reminder, Miss Ciel. We'll make sure to stock up on supplies on our next trip through the tunnel.
[Though with the serious matter aside, his voice lightens again!] Ahh, but it's not terrible! If anything, I'm unused to having to take care of such menial tasks myself... But with regular trips through that tunnel, we manage to get along well enough. It would be better if it were easier, since it's still a rather tiring thing, but it's at least well worth having fresher food and the supplies.
no subject
Let's hope for the best, the last one really shook everyone. Being prepared would be very good too, but that never hurts.
[ah yes back to the smiles n_n] Mm, it's a different sort of lifestyle entirely, isn't it? [not sure how many would casually chalk it off as 'lifestyle', but THERE YOU HAVE IT...] That's a relief, but speaking of food! Would you like a slice of cake now? [She gives a humbling chuckle.] You seemed like you were used to a fancier class of baked sweets, but I do hope this will be passable still?
no subject
Oh, quite passable, don't worry! I'm a fanatic for cakes of every class, so there's no need to fret. It certainly smells delicious! ♥
no subject
She giggles a tad sheepishly, but mostly cheerfully.]
You're just saying that to make me feel better, mister Break. I appreciate the sentiments, but at least give the taste a try before going off to declare something like that!
[Speaking of which let's just assume there are plates already for conveniences' sake and if there wasn't a knife she would've brought one, so SHE HAD EVERYTHING SHE NEEDED to be now handing him a slice.]
